Three experts recently joined Smart Data, a ten-person software company based in Reykjavik, specializing in the development of artificial intelligence solutions for businesses. The new team members are Alexander O'Donovan-Jones, software and data engineer; Ásmundur Alma Guðjónsson, software engineer; and Gunni Singh, data scientist.

Alexander O'Donovan-Jones is a trained electronics engineer from the University of Reading in the UK. He works at Smart Data as a software and data engineer. His primary role at Smart Data is to build services, integrations, and processes that assist the company and team in developing solutions in the field of artificial intelligence that have the potential to excel. Alexander has 18 years of experience in innovation projects at startup companies. He has, for instance, led the development of scalable cloud solutions and managed technology infrastructure in industries such as international game design, anti-money laundering, online travel services, and health tech.

Gunni Singh is a data scientist with diverse experience in the telecommunications, consulting, and IT sectors. He holds a Master's degree in artificial intelligence from Queen’s University in Canada, where he received a scholarship for outstanding performance, and a B.Com in marketing from the University of Guelph. Gunni has worked on the development and implementation of data-driven solutions, focusing on customer analytics, forecasting models, and automating business processes. He specializes in using artificial intelligence and data processing to improve business performance and operational efficiency. Gunni has led various projects that integrate technology and strategy to maximize efficiency and create value for businesses.
