Paradigm Shift at Snjallvaka on November 6th

Húsi Máls og Menningar, November 6 at 15:00.

Here, we reflect on the concept of Unlock, the prioritization of artificial intelligence through AI First, and the second wave of electrification in manufacturing — interpreted through the lens of AI adoption.

Finally, the nation’s competitiveness and the empowerment of its workforce come under discussion, before a new software solution is promised, and the inevitable crash in expectation management follows.

UNLOCK
The term “unlock” has become a buzzword in discussions about artificial intelligence — and for good reason. The rapid technological progress of recent months has opened entirely new gateways to efficiency and productivity.

AI FIRST
Another concept that has gained widespread attention in the debate surrounding this significant technological shift is “AI First.” It means rethinking processes and workflows with AI at their core — applying it wherever it can add value and perform well. When projects, products, and operations are designed with AI as a key enabler, organizations can maximize productivity and harness virtually unlimited AI capacity to achieve more and better.

THE SECOND WAVE
When electricity was introduced into manufacturing after the First Industrial Revolution, it came in two waves. The first replaced old machines with electric ones — a major improvement in itself. The second wave, however, was when factory floors, processes, and production were redesigned entirely around the new power source. That’s when the real transformation happened — efficiency and output soared. We believe the second wave of AI adoption is beginning right now, even if its impact has yet to be fully seen in Iceland.

A PER CAPITA RECORD
To stay competitive, Iceland must now set a per capita record in practical AI adoption. The nation’s competitiveness depends on it, and we are committed to ensuring that Icelandic companies and institutions can lead in efficient, secure AI implementation that empowers their workforce to achieve great things.

A NEW SOFTWARE SOLUTION
Snjallvaka, our Annual AI Forum will be held in Reykjavik on November 6th, 2025. At the event, we plan to share our perspective on where we stand and what lies ahead. We’ll also unveil a new software solution that enables organizations to embrace the AI First mindset — empowering their people to do more, better. And yes, it’s much more than just a co-pilot.

PRODUCT LAUNCH? NO — A PARADIGM SHIFT
At Snjallvaka 2025, we’ll showcase solutions with deeper meaning and greater functionality than anything you’ve seen before. This will not be a product demo — it’s a thought-provoking experience. Attendees will leave with new ideas to take back to their workplaces.

In preparation, it’s worth thinking of AI not as another software tool — but as a new category of solutions more akin to work itself. And to make sure we fail all expectation management tests, we promise nothing less than a paradigm shift for those who attend.
